Cochrane Australia is funded by the Australian Government through the National Health and Medical Research Council. Our activities, as outlined in our Business plan, are approved by the NHMRC and are reported against annually.
In 2015 Cochrane Australia was awarded three years' funding from Cochrane for Project Transform.
We also have an aligned research program in implementation science and regularly conduct commissioned projects relating to evidence synthesis. All additional funding comes from not-for-profit health research funding agencies, such as NHMRC and the Australian Commission on Safety and Quality in Heath Care.
As part of the School of Public Health and Preventive Medicine at Monash, Cochrane Australia receives substantial in-kind support from Monash University.
