Australasian Cochrane Symposia have been held biennially in a number of different cities since 2000. The meetings provide an opportunity for local Cochrane contributors and supporters to get together and hear more about issues affecting the production of systematic reviews and the mission of Cochrane. Cochrane Australia has also hosted the Cochrane Colloquium, Cochrane's annual scientific and business meeting, on three occasions: 4th Cochrane Colloquium in Adelaide in 1996, 13th Cochrane Colloquium in Melbourne in 2005, and 17th Cochrane Colloquium in Singapore in 2009 (in partnership with our Singapore centre).

The most recent Australasian Cochrane Symposium was held in Melbourne in November 2019. .
