Shauna Hurley is Cochrane Australia’s Communications and Engagement Manager and also works as an adviser to Cochrane's Editor in Chief, Dr Karla Soares-Weiser. Shauna has worked as a communications consultant, adviser and freelance writer for a broad range of government, health, publishing and media organisations in Australia and the UK.

From the European Bank of Reconstruction to the Guinness Book of Records, Shauna has written on everything from complex international affairs to the most curious of human feats, and many topics in between. She has a long-standing interest in current affairs and public policy, and has developed diverse strategies and campaigns for Australian government and health organisations. The common thread running through her varied career is a real interest in the way the stories of others can engage, educate and entertain audiences of all kinds.
