This year's Australasian Cochrane Symposium features an engaging and informative mix of speakers, topics, workshops and plenaries that explore contemporary issues affecting the evidence community in our own region and beyond. Visit our symposium website for all the details and online registration.
Keynote speakers including David Tovey, Lisa Bero, Ray Moynihan and Julian Higgins will share their insights into how we can best generate, communicate and use evidence to achieve our shared goals of supporting the translation of research into policy and practice, encouraging informed decision-making and improving health outcomes.
Highlights include:
- A lively panel session with respected journalists from The Age, the Herald Sun, The Conversation and the ABC who'll provide expert opinion on how Cochrane and fellow health organisations can engage more effectively with the media.
- Pre- and post-symposium workshops offer editors, trainers and statisticians the opportunity to further develop their skills and expertise.
- Our tech exchange space will explore new product and technology initiatives related to systematic reviews and evidence syntheses.
- Two dedicated sessions for contributed paper presentations and space for posters. To contribute please submit your abstract to us by Friday 11 September.
If you're involved in evidence synthesis or use evidence to inform practice and policy, this two-day event offers a great opportunity to discover and discuss the latest developments with leading researchers, thinkers and commentators. We think there's something for everyone in this year's program, and hope you can join us in Melbourne to round off another busy year.
