Loyal Pattuwage has been affiliated with Cochrane Australia since 2018 and works as the Living Guidelines Evidence Coordinator for the National Stroke Foundation. He manages living processes for screening and selection of new evidence for the Clinical Guidelines for Stroke Management.

Loyal also works as a senior coder for the Social Systems Evidence database, the world’s largest evidence resource for the Sustainable Development Goals, a collaboration between Monash University and McMaster University in Canada.

Prior to joining Cochrane Australia, Loyal worked at the National Trauma Research Institute, and was involved in a number of systematic reviews and evidence maps related to traumatic brain injuries and spinal cord injuries.

He holds a MBBS, a Masters in Public Health and a Masters in Nutrition.
